ReqBox is on Windows now, plus a batch of editor fixes

productrelease

The big one first, then the smaller stuff that adds up.

Windows builds are live

ReqBox has been Linux-only since launch. That changes today — a signed Windows installer is up on the releases page alongside the Linux .deb. macOS is next.

Update, October 2026: macOS shipped, but Windows installers are paused while we rework that build; current releases are Linux and macOS. Leave your email on the downloads section and we’ll tell you when Windows is back.

A real Settings screen

Language and font size used to be buried in whatever screen you happened to be on. They now live in one place — a Settings screen reachable from anywhere in the app.

Request bodies got more honest

Form-data and URL-encoded bodies used to share storage, so switching between them could silently lose fields. They’re independent now — switch body type and come back, and everything you typed is still there. There’s also a proper “none” body type instead of an empty JSON body standing in for “no body,” and the response status moved to its own row so it’s not competing for space with headers.

Small thing, but if you write JSON bodies by hand: Tab now indents instead of jumping focus out of the editor.

Bug fixes

A few things that were quietly annoying: the open-request tab strip could collapse to a sliver during certain reflows, the environment label in the header didn’t always reflect what you’d actually selected after a restart, and an expired session could get stuck instead of either refreshing quietly or logging you out cleanly. All three are fixed.

Windows is the headline, but if you’ve been living with the tab strip or the body editor, this batch is for you. macOS and a few tab-strip usability improvements (scrolling and reordering without fighting a scrollbar) are next.
